Corner of Whatever

What a “wonderful” Father’s Day weekend it has been. With the passing of legendary journalist Tim Russert on Friday, it’s just been one whirlwind ride this weekend. I think I’m going to miss the political points of view from his talks and it’s always refreshing to hear a different point of view. I’ve grown accustomed to watching Wolf Blitzer and the CNN crew as my primary source (for some reason I can’t stand MSNBC or Fox News), but on occasion, I enjoyed watching “Meet the Press” because of some of the panelists and guest debaters that you could depend on Tim for help on asking tough questions. I’ve always wondered how much muster a particular candidate had and then when he (or she) went on “Meet the Press“, they would go through a trial by fire and that would help me make a decision.

Sadly, I missed today’s show, but I’m sure that it would have been a good one especially since it would have been a tribute of Tim’s journalism legacy. i guess I’m more inspired/motivated to read Tim Russert’s books to see how he lived…maybe it’ll help answer some questions.
