NOW is time to freak out & be overly-dramatic about how things really are
March 29, 2008
So I’ll take a break from my hella-bad weekend thus far and write a little blurb on what’s been going on. Since we last left off, I was still plugging away at this website redesign that’s supposed to go live on Wednesday. Yeah, that’s right….THIS Wednesday. Funny huh? Well that’s still the target date and we’re 36 hours and counting from getting rid of this project. But that might not happen. Don’t ask me about it…I don’t know anything. Well I should…
Running into a lot of quirks and drama going on. I should be focusing all my efforts on this CMS and putting content into the site, but all these fires keep coming up, resulting in me having to deal with them one by one, when someone else should be doing the work for me. Now I have to review sub-standard work it appears and then get back to working on the website. What’s up with that? And let me tell you…sleep really is for the weak. I must say that in the past 72 hours, before this weekend, I only slept about 6 hours. Yeah, I managed to power my way through this weekend just to try and meet the Wednesday goal, but unfortunately every goddamn day there’s a f*cking bump in the goddamn road! It’s so damn irritating that I can’t do anything but stress and worry about how this one thing multiplied into 10 and I’m forced to deal with it while putting off other important stuff.
And let’s not forget about eating…I haven’t had a decent meal in so long…I have breakfast and it powers me straight through the day until when I get home around 11pm where I heat up some leftovers and Bam! it’s back to work.
So you must be asking me why I just don’t stay at work all day and night and just power through everything? Well I would save the fact that my car is parked at the Metro station in an area where I fear for its safety…so I’d like not to leave it at the station if possible. Besides, it’s not as if I carry an extra set of clothes on me for work the next day. And do you think I’d actually wear the SAME clothes the NEXT day? Gross…
