A little peevish this morning

I must say that I’ve been a little “peevish” this morning and it all spanned the time it took from me leaving my house to get into work today - a total of about an hour’s commute.

So I leave my house and it takes me about 30 minutes to get to the nearest Metro station, but lo’ and behold, in the left lane are slow moving vehicles. Naturally I speed past them and look to see what their problem is and it’s not that they’re old. They not talking on the phone or texting on their blackberry (believe me, I’ve seen it before and it’s not funny especially with all that swerving about). They’re not talking to anyone…they’re just driving! What’s that about? C’mon people…if you’re going to be driving slow, PLEASE move to the right lane! You might be asking what’s “slow”…well if you’re going in the left lane, you better be driving faster than everyone else in the right lane. Remember your drivers education class? The left lane is for passing cars. If you’re just dilly-dallying about and driving the speed limit (or in some cases below the speed limit) and see a car tailing you, move to the right and let them pass by. Stop being a dick and move to the side. You’re not moving as fast as you think you are. You’re moving slowly!

I finally get to the Metro stop and park when I hear some noise emanating from a nearby car. I notice there’s a lot of seagulls and birds flying around and this stupid guy has his trunk popped open and has A LOT of bird seed that he’s emptying out on the grass next to his car. Are you serious?!? You come to the Metro stop to feed the birds? Have you ever thought that it’s a bad idea and you’re pissing people off? These birds don’t need your food. Guys like this are the reason why you need to smack people upside the head once in a while. This is like someone feeding stray cats when you’re trying to fix the problem. They’re nusances…you’re not helping the situation. I swear to god…bird crap better not be on my car when I get home. Although I guess that’s not the worst thing to happen. On the brightside, if they do crap, it’ll probably also be on that idiot guy’s car. He rolled up in a nice bright red Toyota Camry - newly washed it appears. Sucks to be you!

And will wonders never cease…I am riding the train into work when it hits a stop and this girl gets on and decides to sit in the middle of a two-seater. Common sense would tell you to be courteous and move over or at least sit in one chair! She’s not that big…in fact, she’s a skinny person, but for the next few stops before she gets off, she’s sitting the same way and hogging the seat. That pisses me off…why do YOU get to have your own seat? You’re not anything special…

So yeah, all this stress has come to me right before I get into the office today. So you can imagine how painful the rest of my day could be especially when it’s time to head home the same way.
