Why is Chevy marketing SUVs to children?
I’m usually marketing savvy, but I’ve noticed during the pre-game show for the Big Game, there have been at least 4 or 5 different commercials for Chevy’s SUV to promote the fact that they’re “green”. I have no problem with cars being “green” and I’d like to see more environmentally conscious cars out there, but c’mon, why is this guy telling young kids about the fact that Chevy SUVs are spacious and that they’ll clean the air? Are children THAT decisive when it comes to buying your next car? If you’re a parent, would you ask your (young) child what car to buy and expect them to say something like “Well we should buy a Chevy because it’s very spacious for all our stuff and it’s a “green” car.”? Don’t be stupid…it may have some bearing on decisions, but wow…targeting young is quite interesting.
