I got my stuff from UH…well almost

December 13th, 2007

After nearly 2 weeks of waiting for my merchandise that I purchased through the Univ. of Hawaii bookstore, I found myself a little concerned about what’s going on with the folks over there. You might not know it, but two weeks waiting for stuff from the bookstore is a little beyond belief. First of all, I asked for 2nd day air and they sent it ground. They’ve lied to me and said that they have it in their computer as 2nd day air, but after speaking with different people, they finally admitted it’s been sent via ground. They also got the shipping address WRONG. C’mon, people…it’s not that hard to write up an address. Now I have to wait these 7 long business days for you to fix the error and hope that it arrives at my place on time…well after accounting for ground shipping.

So I check my bank account and it turns out that the UH bookstore is double billing me for shtuff I know isn’t that much. After substituting a shirt for a cheaper version, the total should be less than what I originally paid, but now I got to pay at least 1 and a half times more for the stuff? And where is the refund for my 2nd day air that I should receive after getting it via ground.

Now I finally get my merchandise as scheduled by UPS and I open it up and find my #7 jersey in there. Woohoo…wait, that’s not right. I didn’t order a #7 jersey. I wanted a #15. I don’t want Devone Bess’s jersey…I wanted Colt Brennan. So I call the bookstore again and the lady that answers is very nice, but is also brand spankin’ new over there. What a pain in the butt. So now I’ve gone through hell trying to get my order and I must chalk all of this up to user error…BAD customer service by the University of Hawaii bookstore and inefficient student workers. Yes, I said it…student workers at the bookstore DON’T know how to do good work over there. They’re not even checking the orders before it goes out, it seems. What’s going on here? They’re too young to subscribe to the Hawaii worker mentality of laziness! C’mon people…wake up and smell the poi! I want my jersey…you better ship me the RIGHT jersey and quick!
