Reported today, it appears that William Shatner…THE Captain James T. Kirk of the U.S.S. Enterprise, will not make a cameo appearance alongside the immortal Mr. Spock, Leonard Nimoy, in the upcoming Star Trek movie. Set in the backdrop of their early years, while the plot is supposedly still secret, CNN reports that Shatner wasn’t offered a role in the flick. This article pokes fun about that it might be difficult to explain with the fact that Kirk died in “Star Trek: Generations” and then bring Kirk back from the dead, but that it’s possible for the writers to bring back Spock in an earlier movie? Okay, first of all, let’s not get too anal about the plot. If it makes sense for the movie, just add Kirk in. Otherwise, just watch the damn movie…it’s just that…a movie.
